Lantern Hollow

Lantern Hollow is a quiet adventure game where you wander a hand-drawn forest, light lanterns, and piece together what happened to the village you find. There's no combat and no timer — just exploration, light environmental puzzles, and a lot of atmosphere.

Everything is controlled by tapping where you want to go and interacting with objects. It's a game that trusts you to notice things. I found myself slowing down, which is rare on a phone, and the sound design does a lot of quiet work.

Some puzzles are a touch too obscure, and I hit one spot where I wandered for ten minutes unsure what to do. But the mood is lovely, and it's the kind of thing I recommend when someone wants calm instead of challenge.
